Great buy for £60, they feel a lot less clompy than 5:10s and are much quicker drying.

Most adidas size about half a size small.
I collect trainers and have around 20 pairs of adidas in various forms.

In adidas I’m usually a 10.5 or 10. The closest I have to these I’m a 10.
Nike I’m a 9.5 or 10. Arcteryx 10. Mavic 44.5. Fizik 45.
Half sizes are only 5mm difference so you shouldn’t be far off.

Hope that helps.

Thanks - ordered. Been waiting for these to come down in price.

Much better looking that the 5.10s which look a bit bulbous, but with the same stealth sole.

(NB there is +£4.99 p&p from sportshoes.com, but still cheaper that the Adidas site.)

Are they suitable as general ‘shoes’ as opposed to dedicated bike shoes or are they a bit stiff for wearing to Wetherspoons?

Usually an adidas 9
Sent mytrail cross 9s back ,
9.5s fit better with both thin summer/sealskinz socks.

Much prefere them to samhills but not ideal for wet cold conditions.

Re pictonroad - 'Are they suitable as general ‘shoes’ as opposed to dedicated bike shoes or are they a bit stiff for wearing to Wetherspoons? '

They are marketed as a 'bike and hike' shoe so in theory should be suitable for more than just the bike.

I'll get mine on Wednesday and will be able to update then on their general purposeness.

They're fine as a general purpose shoe, have more of a feel as a trail walking shoe than a trainer. They are billed as a hike shoe, but not much good at walking up a muddy hill with the stealth sole though. I like 5:10s too but they are only good for riding in, these are much nicer to wear off the bike.

Odd about the promo code above. I used the one and it worked ok. It was from an adidas email

Thanks for the heads up, a couple of mates are really happy with them so I’ve been on the look out.

Gone for two sizes as they do half’s and seem to have a good returns policy.

Quite wearable of the bike but somewhat clumpy. Great bike shoe but wouldn't be first choice for casual use

I might get some waterproofing spray for mine that arrived this morn. I'm a size 8.5 but ordered a 9 and glad I did as they are not huge and I've wide feet.

They are ridiculously stiff compared to freeriders.

Anyone tried the one with the ankle protection?

Just got a pair and done one ride. Perfect from my perspective. Grippy on an NS pedal, but can still shuffle feet into best position. Comfy, decently warm with appropriate socks.
