Pretty decent fork for the money - it drops down to £180 with the code UPGRADE..
35mm stantions, debonair chamber etc etc
I've picked up a pair (to make up free postage - i only wanted a pump! FFS!) that I might stick on a HT frame i've lying around my garage...

better or worse than a 2021 Pike ?
Thanks fellas...
The MoCo is the base damper, year, but should ride fine for the most part..
You could upgrade to the latest Charger 2.1 here, but it's another £160...

MoCo damper … that’s not that great is it?
It's fine. I think if you're very anal about your suspension (or are one of these folk that likes to say how gnarly you are because you can sense some minute flaw in a damper when you're smashing big hits) you might not like it, but I've run these for five years and a charger equipped Pike for nearly four and can't really tell the difference. I'd suspect if you've got a Pike you've not serviced since 2021 these would feel better, but then you should just service your Pike.
I've a pal with 2016 pikes, and I've directed him towards these as a replacement rather than another service on his worn forks~!

That is a bargain, I got those £285 fox 34 Rhythms the other day but this could be even better. Get that damper upgraded and you pretty much get a pike ultimate for £400.
Still a bargain at that price. I struggled to find the sweet spot in setting mine up but not sure if maybe the bushings were too tight. It just never felt that plush. Even after I fitted a charger 2.1 damper it never felt as good as the older non-boost pike I'd had.
I never got the Merlin fox 36 for the ebike. Will this be a lot better than a RS 35 gold? I’m assuming it will be.
The MoCo damper in my Revs was so harsh that it literally shook my eyeballs to the point I could focus on fast chunky descents. Other than that, it was ok.
Fast Up! Damper from TF tuned transformed the fork. Well, that and a custom air spring but that was just me being fussy.
The MoCo is ok for bimbling around but on anything aggressive, it's pants.
Bloody good fork for £180 though.
I expect we'll see a few Ragleys with these on in the near future.
You can get a Novyparts Splug damper for Revelations for £130 delivered to the UK. Easy to fit (even I managed it) and is definitely a very worthwhile upgrade.
For the money that's a bargain. But no comparison to a Pike. The pikes are really stiff. Revs are very flexy by comparison. It's really noticeable.
I have a Revelation upgraded with Debonair 160 mm spring shaft and Charger damper, and with SKF low friction wiper seals, and it basically is equivalent to a Pike. So if you can find any Charger, even the older ones are good, you can get a great fork for very cheap...
Also changing the damper oil to Motorex 2.5 w made it noticeably better.
Yeah.
With the extra fancy damper cost is it better than the Fox 36 rhythm float grip deal on Merlin at £350 or a heavy ebike?
. Revs are very flexy by comparison. It’s really noticeable
There was a period where revs were still 32mm and pikes were 35, however these revs are the ones that have the last gen pike chassis.

I've got Z2's which I think have a very similar spring/damper, the compression just has a full sweep rather than 3 detented positions.
The damper is good, the spring is overly progressive but I complain about that in almost all air springs so maybe I should just lose some weight.
I've got 35s on my other bike, the MoCo in those is OK, it's fine on rough descents upto a point but really struggles on bigger impacts. Not great, but not a bad enough fork to want to spend £400+ replacing it even if it is a bargain.
Thanks TINAS
I think you’re right, I can live with the 35’s, it’s a full suss ebike bike used mainly for cross country. Only used a couple of times at Northampton bike park and at FOD, and any drops the forks just felt dead. Small bump sensitivity is good.
I always thought the chassis was the same between Rev and Pike? The Rev was just a cheaper version with MoCo where the Pike had the Charger?
Pretty sure thats right, older Revs were 32's but changed to 35's a few years ago
Moco damper passes the car park test, but spend a few hours out all day on a red grade trail and your hands/arms get fatigued.
I bought the Yari fork (similar) when it was on offer a while back. I initially thought it was ok as I didn't have a comparison. I managed to pick up a charger damper off the bay and it transformed the fork! Massive difference in comfort and handling.
So, I'd say this is a good price, but get searching for a cheap charger damper.
I bought a pair months ago from alpkit ebay store for £239. The plan is to eventually upgrade to coil and a better damper. The consensus with the MC damper seems to be it’s fine for lighter use, but struggles on bigger/gnarlier stuff. I’ve not had much chance to ride them unfortunately, but they’re stiff enough for my requirements. Probably a little stiffer than the on the FS
Can these be dropped to 120/130 with new air spring or coil conversion kit/other parts?
My Reba's are pretty much ok for my riding but every so often they start to feel overwhelmed and fluttery when pushed. I don't want to drop £800 on a new fork on an older (2015 bike) but £250-300 for some extra beef up front could be tempting. Missed that PSA a few weeks back on another option at CRC. It looks like there are a few bargains kicking about and I saw some fox 34s the other day.
Still trying to decide if it's worth the spend on an older bike but the rest of it is solid.
Yes, travel should be adjustable with a new air spring. Mine are 130mm (29er). Noticeably stiffer than the Reba 120mm they replaced. I found the Reba too flexy and it was one of the reasons for changing
Or at 130mm without faff. But you’re paying a bit more:
Someone please put me off buying these:

I won’t stop you. I have the 29er version… fitting the bleed valves is cheap and easy… especially when fitting the Fox mudguard at the same time.
I don't really have the budget for anything with Kashima Coat, or s****ier dampers, so this might be it. I'm after better forks and wheels for my hardtail (Pace RC627). It'll be hard to turn these down.
I prefer this damper … super easy to live with. I have a Factory 36 as well (older one) and switched out the damper for one of these. Turn the compression dial wide open… ride…
I ordered some, expected delivery sometime today. One question I have pair of 2015 pikes with the RC damper, it does look like a charger damper and has been given a service recently. Will it fit the Revs? Changing wheel size.

I'm 99.99% sure you're out of luck with that one.
Great PSA, thanks!
Not that I need but they'd be a good upgrade for Mrs a11y's bikes. I'm not the biggest fan of MoCo damper initially in my Yari (since upgraded with Charger 2.1 damper) but she's an occasional rider they'd be fine for.
Just given in and ordered a set of these ... will hopefully be an improvement on the somewhat tired 2016 Pikes currently on my SS HT.
I doubt it, better to spend the money servicing the Pike
