My go to bike touring tent is an Argos Pro Action 1 which is long out of production. An rip off of the Sierra Designs Lightyear - an American company. For me at 6ft3 the good features are 39" interior height, good interior length, and fast inner first pitching. Inner first has mixed views of course. My Pro Action One is a weight of around 2kg all in. It stands up to high winds and rain well.
I got an ebay alert today for new Sierra Designs tents at £11.99 with free postage.
Appears identical to the current version on Sierra Designs website at $169.

Not overjoyed at the colour. The door design is different - front rather than side entry but for £12?
Seems too good to be true - a new ebay seller - but I've ordered one as a spare. I'll see what arrives if anything. A 1 man tent with decent space at 1.45Kg.
Just remember when its raining sideways at 3am you get what you pay for.
very tempting, though I'm 99.9% sure it will end via paypal dispute...
No feedback, be interesting to see if anything actually turns up. I'm tempted a sa spare for my gellert one!

I have a house for those days.
If I was doing the HT550 I'd have a different set of priorities, but for mini-adventure bikepacking it's basically just to avoid exposing my Johnson to any passing dog walkers and keep the slugs off.
ust remember when its raining sideways at 3am you get what you pay for.
My Argos tent was £20 and has passed the rain and high wind test and around 7000 miles of touring.
I will be interested to see if anything arrives but I can afford to wait to get my £12 back if needs be.
