Building up a carbon HT. What do people use to protect their carbon frame?
Invisiframe (made to measure not available for my bike), helitape? AMS? Zefal? Something else?
How about chainstay protector? Or Downtube protector? Id like to keep the matt look of my frame (Sonder Transmitter in green). Photos a bonus, show me what you do!
I've had an AMS kit before, and while the material itself is kind of nice, the actual covering you get for the price is not that good. Would not buy again.
Price wise the best way to do it is just to buy a roll of 3M helitape and cut it yourself.
Otherwise, just go to Invisiframe
Invisiframe kit, then an additional layer of viking tape on the down tube and then a rockguardz. Â Chain stay gets a layer of self amalgamating tape.
How long does the self amalgamating tape last? Viking tape? Link? Thanks!

Get in contact with them, if you buy a kit and send them your frame, they often fit it for free, as a thanks for letting them use your frame for measurements.
I enquired about a kit, they had no plans to produce one for my frame at the moment. Shame as I would happily lend them the frame.
Amalgamating take on chain stay, lasts pretty much indefinitely, never had to redo it on any of my bikes.
Helicopter tape cut to suit where cables will rub.
