Proper "long" baggies for wearing with pads?

I'm not sure if I have freakishly long femurs (I'm 6ft, 34" inside leg) but I struggle to get baggies long enough to fit without leaving a gap while wearing knee pads (POC VPD air). I always have a 2-3" gap at the top of the pedal stroke and at the bottom of the stroke the short invariably ends up bunching up on top of the pad and on wet/dusty/sweaty days starts to get quite sore, to the point where I put my pads over my calves for anything more than a minute or so of pedalling.

I have some 7mesh revo shorts (18" inseam) that are great, sitting just below my knee cap, and some very old Humvee 3/4 that fit well but are as heavy as sin. My Endura MT500 splashback shorts (Spray?) manage to ~stay down for a few minutes on a good day but my Singletrack II shorts (apparently 14.5" inside leg) just ride up at the first pedal stroke.

It seems hard to get definative inside leg measurements from manufacturers so can anybody reccomend longer inseam shorts that may suit me?

Cheers,

S

I have the same issue, best I've found is Endura three quarter shorts but watch for some chunkier knee pads as they wont fit under.

Alas, same problem here.
Hummvee ii 3/4 (which are lighter than the originals btw) have 19 inch inseam...but still sit on top of pads when pedalling probably due to a very narrow leg hole (?) which may work well on less tall people.

I've found Nukeproof shorts to be properly long at 187cm, 33.5" inside leg and don't expose that gap. Also some Royal Racing Shorts, some of which I found too long (hence why they're currently listed on a well-known auction site - bright green, XL...).

The standard Rapha trail shorts are long and shaped to cover this. Had to swap mine for the lightweight version as they were too long for me.

Having experimented with the suggestions above I finally found a pair that are long enough:

Leatt mtb enduro 3.0 shorts

Quite a slim fit but go over lycra and pads without a fuss, don't ride up and feel invisible. Hurray!
