Any opinions/experiences out there? I'm looking at either a Zero PAS or a Nago PAS, to replace my new Fizik Antares Vs I don't really get on with.
Got 2 Nago evo's and a Nago pas and they suit me very well. You can demo them from some shops to see if you like them.
I use these, NAGO CPC on both Roadie and CXer. I too used Fiz for a good few years and I'd gotten used to them and the fit, never really had any problems with them but fancied a change. I looked around for a few months and took some basic measurements and these NAGO's came closest. I chose them because of the wear/grip pads, when putting ant kind of power down I felt "slip" on the saddle with the Fiz's and got used to it, but I wanted to try these and took a punt because they are not cheap £180 each. They fit me, I like the grip which has changed the way I ride a little. I can now sit forward on the nose and TT without slipping backwards, when climbing sit towards the back and grind it out. The "feel" is similar to the Antaires, there is a slightly softer feel to the NAGO's though. I've been on them for about a year now, all sorts of conditions and terrain and they're still looking good after all that time. I do expect the grip pad to wear out sooner or later though..
It was a punt but I'm happy and won't go back to Fiz now.
I love the look of those, and the CPC thing seems like a good idea.
Is the channel particularly pronounced on the PAS versions? Do you notice much difference in comfort between the PAS and non-PAS versions?
I've not tried the PAS so can't help. Are you looking at the channel version or the hole version? The channel one looks good, similar in shape to the Fiz designs by the looks of it. I would expect softer material with a touch more padding (but not a huge amount, squidgy they are, soft and saggy that aren't neither are they anywhere near as hard as the Fiz padding) Personnaly I'd stay clear of the hole version unless you ride predominately in dry warm conditions, though in saying that I do know someone at my club who rides with one, I haven't spoken to him in ages though.
Choose wisely, cheap they ain't, but IMO well worth the money for comfort.
I have a prologo scratch on my road bike, although not what you've narrowed your search to. But as a whole prologo saddles are brilliant, I have fizik gobi on my Mtb and its harsh compared to the pro logo, in fact I'm thinking of changing it for a prologo nago, they look good to
Thanks.
I ordered a Nago Evo Tirox last night, so I'll give that a try.
I use a Prologo Kappa Evo, its ok, not as comfortable as my Charge Scoop/Spoon as use on other bikes but i've not done many rides on it so it might soften up a little.
