Ive got a Stumpy and an Enduro from prior to 2020 (when the new design came in) both running coil shocks. I was thinking of trying a progressive wound coil spring, like the Cane Creek to gain a slight ramp up in progression, and hence maybe run a slightly lighter spring rate as a plus. Is anyone else running something like this?

I cant help as all our bikes have air shocks, last coil I had was way back on the first SXs

I’m a larger person, so air shocks are not an option for me as they run too close to max pressure. That’s the reason for coils for me.

I've got a MRP progressive coil on my Transition Patrol which is pretty linear, it's nice and supple at the start with plenty of mid stroke support and it doesn't blow through the travel. Seems to have the best parts of a coil and air shock with the only penalty being the weight. I did run a DHX2 with a 500lb spring a couple of years ago but that blew through it's travel unless the HSC was almost closed, I'm currently running a Vivid with a 500-600lb spring.

Yes, I'd run a 500lb before so I got a 500-600Lb progressive spring. If I hadn't had a coil shock before I would get a cheap standard spring make sure I was in the right ballpark because I find most suspension tuners recommendations are to light and the progressive springs are pretty pricey. So far I'm really impressed with it even on the vivid which isn't the most upto date shock.
I was looking at picking up a Cane Creek progressive spring for my 2018 Enduro running an Ohlins TTX22, spoke to J-Tech and they confirmed it would work.
I didn't go for it though as the springs only come in white which wouldn't have gone with my colour scheme so got a cane creek black one in the end
