Just thinking about one of these and wondering if anyone had ridden one and would share their thoughts / experiences?
The PP Shan is a lovely looking bike but the slight geo tweaks of the Oka are supposed to make it a bit more of a climber. Not that the Shan isn't apparently, but it looks like the Oka marketed more at people who go up as much as down, rather than the Shan being more of a downhill hardtail.
I'd suggest a Cotic Soul
In true STW fashion I'm going to have not read your question and I'll recommend what I've got.
Ive got one, great bike, it replaced my full sus, very good downhill and good on the ups
Compared to a Shan I've ridden it's a bit lighter and more trail bike orientated still slack but not overly so.
I had one, and it got stolen before it was even built. Based on that, I couldn't recommend it. Very pretty frame, mind.
I had one, it replaced a Cotic Soul, I much preferred it.
Great frame with 140mm forks, only got rid of it because I fancied a full sus (new job and newfound money burnt a hole in my pocket).
Just flogged mine for peanuts on eBay, shame you missed it.
