Is it possible just to drill the end caps out to 10mm? Seem to recall (could be mistaken) that Trout did it to run on his NP mega?

The internals are fine for 142x12 so probably can't just get new caps

Just buy the 10mm end caps - that's all you need for the Evo and they are something like £10

You'd struggle to get the hole properly central on a pillar drill and the hole may come out oval. A lathe would be the weapon of choice for this.

Yes have done this on a couple of my wheels to use the 10mm qr thingys, just about to do it on my Pro 3 wheels, you do need a lathe to do it properly though and get a good finish, they'd be a fairly high chance of making a mess/ not being square using a power drill.
So if no lathe, I'd buy new ones.

I made perfectly good fist of it with drill on my front ones, used a couple of intermediate sizes on way up and drilled from inside. As the strength is in the clamping not axle and the bearing rotate around cups not axle, unless you proper fug it up its not precision engineering
