Has anyone tried these?
I've got Prizm Trail in my Racing Jackets and they're awesome lenses. Really boost contrast which helps me see everything a lot better. I also use Prizm Daily's in another pair of Oakleys which are very good. Definitely give them ago if you like contrast lenses.
Trail/Road user here, but switch to clear when it's really bad weather
Interested to hear about these as well.
Just wandering if a low light would be better through winter, also if they're too dark for night riding?
I'm buying a new pair of glasses and thought I'd try these then add a Prizm Road lens next spring, I have a clear lens from a pair of fakes I can use at night.
May just take a punt...
Also interested to hear on this particularly against photochromic - I use my photochromic (ebay under £20, seem to work just as well as my genuine Oakley transitions ones) lenses in my Radar EVs for large portions of the year for everything from night rides to sunny ones and they're really very good. I do use Prizm trail for days when I know it will be bright throughout but where I'll be under tree cover for a good bit of it (think trail centres) and they're great for that.
I got myself a set a few weeks back. They are great for riding in the woods this time of year when the normal Prizm trails are too dark. Personally I hate riding without glasses and these are great on overcast days or areas in shade. The only thing I don't like is the white frames but I'll probably swop them out for my Trail frames.
I have a set of the roadie Prisms that are a bit stronger than the mtb version but I find when the light starts to fade the lenses give the impression it’s almost dark.
Am looking at getting a set of these lenses to use in the dark instead of my trail prizms.
Has anyone used them in the dark?
The only thing I don’t like is the white frames but I’ll probably swop them out for my Trail frames
I really like the white frames!
Have bought a pair to try anyway, something to look forward to when I’m recovered and back riding.
Interesting, hadn't heard of these before.
My two most used pairs of Oakleys (Flak 2.0s) swap clear, prizm road and prizm trail lenses between them. I don't really understand how the road ones work, they don't seem to make things that much darker but I do enjoy wearing them. Trail seems to make everything brighter with more contrast, clear I use for night rides.
I'd planned on getting a photochromic lens at some point, now there's another option...
First ride out with these today, was just a little bit overcast today but the lens definitely picked things up a touch...but subtle, I hadn’t really noticed until I took them off and everything seemed flat.
Really like them, only ever tried the photochromic in Rudy but these seem far nicer for the conditions.
I have had some for a couple of weeks now and really like them,i normally ride clear on the mtb as most of my riding is in forests. The lens definitely gives more contrast and definition than other lenses i have used. They were discounted on bike discount which swung it really but glad i bought them now.they still fog up when stood still though but i have yet to find a lens that doesnt.
Ben
Yeah mine fogged up at traffic lights, cleared almost instantly though when I got moving again.
