Just got mine today. Why did I bother to order it...really can't see a lot to keep me subscribing.

mine's hopefully being redirected from my old address. Then I'll bow down to Tony Doyle's pate..!

I think this issue is the best yet. The photography is awesome, like Bike used to be. I've done Polaris and Strathpuffer so interested in that. Just reading the custom article and the Jenn Hopkins one was great too. That's my tuppence worth.

i got mine today, haven't even opened it, in contrast to when Rouleur drops through the door and it gets ripped open. Think I'll cancel it and hope (in vein i think) that they start to go for silly money on eBay

Bit underwhelmed by this issue. Mountain Bikes don't have the history of road cycling and that is really showing through compared to Rouleur. I think I'll cancel my sub after the next issue. It's ok but not a patch on Rouleur sadly as I really wanted to like it. 🙁

Might sound odd but the writing in it feels as if it is trying too hard. Kind of agree with Sanny

Sorry to say I have still to read issue one and issue 3 has just turned up. Will probably cancel after next one. Got two issues of The Ride unopened as wel so did not buy the last one.

Ordered my copy of Privateer straight from Rouleur(?) direct - £9 for the mag (cover price) then £3.40 postage. Only bought it because my I was also in one of the Strathpuffer pics (Full page pic).

First time I have seen this mag and it is of exceptional quality, very few adverts.

''privateer'' sounds like some Danish jazz mag from the 70's. 🙂

I went for one of the 'try issue 1 for free when you subscribe' offers - cancelled after issue 2. As above, not a patch on Rouleur or Ride Journal and doesn't justify the cover price IMO
