Just bought some new carbon gravel wheels from CRC (£400!). I'm just checking them over and wondered if STW could help me check them!
On the non-drive side rear, it looks like I can see exposed grey metal notches. Is this normal for prime hubs? I can pull off the end cap very easily, there is no noticeable click (although I can see the o-ring is installed). Here is a couple of pics:
With end cap on:

With the end cap off:

Also, the rear freehub body makes no reference to "Anti Bite Guard" which it says they are on the CRC website. Is this normal? When you look up the freehubs for sale separately, they have the wording etched onto them.

Looking forward to trying these out, but want to make sure they are all good first. Any help is appreciated!

For the free hub it'll be obvious if it has an anti bite guard as they are a piece of normally steel set into one or more of the spline edges.

Ah I see. Thanks for your replies, both! This is what the freehub looks like, kind of looks like it doesn't have the Anti Bite Guard (no steel in sight):

I was considering these recently and was attracted by the anti bite guard but I saw reviews saying it wasn't fitted. In the end I bought the Vel+ wheels from Sigma.
