Forecast dire round here so we bobbed over to a land without hills.
Great signage, lots of mud and met some decent people.

I think it's to do with all the housing going up around the northern end of the wheel. Its one of the best things the council have done.
We read the signs, but a bit unclear as to the current state of play.
It's a brilliant resource that needs saving.
And one of the nicest bimbles we've done for ages.
Don't love it but serves a purpose and has got lots of leisure cyclists out.
Plenty more spurs off it. Leave at Brockholes, bit of A59 bike path then onto lanes and bits of bw around Samlesbury, Mellor, Hoghton etc. Or tram road to Cuerden Valley, Buckshaw then moors and Healey Nab etc.
Signs have been up for years. Route isn't under threat, but a bit busier with traffic in places due to the house building. Think there is a slight nimby element behind the signs....
Two minute steep climb means slight downhill trend for rest of route 🙂

The nimby thing makes sense.
Saw a few printed signs on lamp posts in the more salubrious areas complaining about new developments.
Nice to see a bit more of a place I'm not overly familiar with.
It's a good resource for sure, used to do it regularly on my lunchtime (benefits of flexitime) until I got distracted by building jumps and drops instead. If anyone fancies meeting up to ride it one lunchtime then drop me a pm.
