Does anyone know of a presta valve adaptor/converter that would allow the use of a Shraeder pressure gauge?
I've tried some off ebay but they don't allow the valve to be gauge to work.
I could do without getting another gauge.

Not fora pressure gauge, but I have a too-short presta valves on my road bike so I struggle to get a pump on them.

So I took apart the needle valve/adaptor combo that came with my £2.99 ball pump from Sports Direct, and found the brass adaptor threads onto the end of a presta valve, and itself is externally threaded/sized to a Schreader valve.

So try to find a set of ball inflation valves to cannibalise?

Though if the pressure gauge needs to depress the valve to take a reading, it may not reach the core.

Thanks @Keithb - that's pretty much the problem, in that the gauge doesn't depress the valve to get a reading.
Maybe I need to get the file on the adapter and take some of the top off so the the valve core can be activated.
I will report back...

I guess the adaptor is designed for inflation rather than the pressure gauge, so doesn't need to depress the needle.

I just use a cheap one from my LBS. I do have to make sure it's threaded as far down as it can go, and that the threaded "stopper" on the valve is as far out as it will go. Maybe I just got lucky but I've never had a problem. I can measure and see how long the external threaded part is if you like, see if it's different to yours.
