I have just bought. anew to me frame ( Production Privee OKA) ... it has. press fit BB.

Having done a little research on this (rubbish) concept , I am probably going Hope.
The frame states it's a press fir 68/73 ...
Hope offer a Press fit 68 or 73 ... so which one is it?
I am intending to use some old Shimano crank sets with a single single ring .... the actually BB width( empty) is 92 mm, so what does the 68/73 refer to?

Or is this a really stupid question?

You probably need the PF41 rather than PF46, check the I.D. of the bottom bracket shell.

The 68/73 refers to the shell width without the Shimano outboard bearings, add screw-in bearings and the overall width is 92mm...yup confusing. As you have press fit the overall B.B. width is, as you say 92mm (73mm shell + screw-in B.B.) so a crank with a 73mm axle length will fit.

The other thing to consider is axle diameter, 24mm or 30mm?

Wheels make some decent BBs. Using a 24mm axle (Shimano) gives you a coupe of options.

It states BB92 as the fit ....
And the Hope on states its comparable ....
The Shimano one is very cost effective .... but is it robust?
Thanks
