Moving on from this thread : https://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/strip-and-respray-a-chromed-frame/

anyone recommend a powder coaters/resprayer near Glasgow, or central belt, up as far as Stirling, that;

a: does bike frames
b: has a website I can look at
c: is under £100
d: is not ESP (I've used them before and found them OK, but communication was always very vague, so would prefer other options first)

failing that, i could post it somewhere...

thanks

Someone might suggest Ecosse, I would suggest not Ecosse at least til he gets more organised. Just a total comedy of errors for me though, did get the job done in the end in fairness and he does have a wild range of colours and options. Absolutely not Hendersons, my frame had blasting grit in the finish! "Totally normal with powdercoat mate", literally fixed that situation by walking out with the frame without paying and being threatened with the police.

Anyway. I am taking some wheels and a trials frame to R&O in Bathgate as soon as I decide on the colour, they did some car wheels for me which came out great. He is really a "will coat anything metal" place and not a bike specialist so might not suit you.

Worth checking out Central Cosmetics in Stirling maybe?

Ben Cooper Kinetics Glasgow uses a powder coater in Glasgow, not sure who but my soulcraft frame was powder coated to a high standard after ben did work on it, give him a call and find out.

Otherwise ive used Kilmarnock powder coating services in the past for car/motorbike stuff

You might try here - http://Covanhill Powder Coaters

I've used them for car wheels and the standard is excellent. I don't know if they've done bikes but there's a motorbike frame in their gallery.
