Can anybody recommend a good powder coater in west lancs or Cheshire . I've got an old steel framed road bike and it's mechanically spot on but the paint is looking very tired . Pictures of bikes you've had done would be appreciated . Probably a stupid question but can they powder coat a clear coat on top of the colour for protection ? Thanks

Not Cheshire but Triple-S in Bingley, West Yorks are very good indeed. They offer a collection and delivery service if required. I did a thread on retrobike compiling good and bad painters/powder coaters so will try to dig it out as there'll probably be someone more local on that.

As for the clear coat.... Not sure about it being powder coated but it can defo be wet painted on a powder coated frame.

Plus one for Triple S. One they did for me.

No, but it was the only one they did at the time. All the colours are on the website. Would go with a clear lacquer if I did it again, which I am sure they can do. Prices are online too.
