Looking at powder coating the front triangle of my Yeti 5.

Looking at using Blastcoat near Newport. Any other recommendations? Would rather use a company used to doing bike frames.

Do you know Argos Racing cycles? Not sure if that's the sort of thing they do but could be worth asking them.

Argos are a bit expensive for my needs.
Armourtex look good but postage adds to the bill rather.

Griff's in Fishponds. They've done various things for me. they do all the prep and the frames are still going strong.............

Armourtex paint job wasn't the best I'd found, it started flaking round the bottom of my forks.

ABC Powder Coating in Nailsea.

Functional rather than glitzy, but cheap and good quality.

Griff's Reality Motorworks are excellent. They specialise in motorbike stuff, so they're a step beyond the garden-gate powdercoaters.

Griff's charges around £70-80 for a powdercoat and his work is top notch. ABC are cheaper (around £50, used to be £30!) and a functional paint job, but whenever I've used them the masking has been awful - expect to spend ages cleaning and facing.

Griff's sounds like a good option. Thanks all.

RPA, Bristol Motorcycle Powdercoaters.

I get all my frames done there. Warren is great and does a great job.

Be warned, griffs is not quick. Like 2 weeks plus for a frame. Nice bloke and good work though.

I've used RPA a couple of times, really friendly and the finish was excellent.

I used these guys in Midsummer Norton, South of bristol. They quoted all the prep and blasting then a colour coat followed by a clear gloss coat for £65 to a Gary Fisher Sawyer Frame and forks. Knocked off a bit from that as there was a tiny imperceptable 'fisheye' blemish, but offered to re-do if I'd have prefered. I took the discount as it was an excellent job anyway and wanted to ride.

It looks great.

Prices vary between if they have a colour in stock or if they have to get some in specially for you.
