I've sold some wire bead DH tyres and need to post them. Hoping to be able to squish them into a box (shoe box per tyre) but not sure if it will damage the bead? any ideas?

I wouldn't do this for fear of damaging the bead.

If you were physically able to fold it down your buyer will get the surprise of his life with your jack-in-the-box Dh tyre bomb.

Find a wheel box from a friend or ask Halfords for a child's bike box and trim it down a bit.

is it not a figure of 8, bin bag, parcel tape type job?

Figure 8, fold the sides of the 8 into an o then wrap some tape around the side of the o furthest away from what was the middle of the 8.

I had some new wire beaded tyres delivered from CRC recently, they were figure of 8 and taped up. No issues with them so far.

Last time I sold wired tyres I just put them as they were in a bin bag, no folding or anything. Arrived fine, no problems. Done this with My Hermes & Parcel Monkey, the folded v unfolded size made no difference to cost.
