What couriers are people using to post rear shocks? Post Office won't accept them because they stupidly think it'll explode and whichever one i used last time cost twice as much as Royal Mail which was only £8.

I use CollectPlus - mainly for the convenience of being able to drop it off very locally. Can't remember precisely how much - about £5?

Post office , work in a bike shop and have sent probably over 100 forks and shocks by post office and never had a problem . Our local PO usually accepts forks to go 24hr which means you get £500 insurance on them even though they are slightly too long to be sent by this method officially.

I've used Myhermes, £250 max cover only though.
I wouldn't risk using RM even if some people haven't had any problems, it's a lot of money to lose.
