Any current favourite couriers? Not cheap with RM, outside Collect Plus size limits - has anyone used them for handlebars lately and gotten away with it? Bars are 780 so 800+ mm package
I normally do the drop off option with hermes, never had an issue witb them either.
My postie managed to get these through my letterbox, Christ knows how
If I use RM, I use special delivery and build the cost in as it's insured.
Unless it's something really cheap that you don't mind writing off.
If it's something expensive or particularly fragile, a courier might be a better option.
Used Hermes for years, never an issue.
RM, if your clever it counts under the tune dimensions.
Yup, with RM put it in a tube (they may or may not accept it if you package it round- I think officially it has to be in an actual tube).
But hermes have no problem with the dimensions, £3.99 if you book it in normally or £2.79 if it's an ebay auction (because it'll be a 1kg package that way- they use different bands depending on how you book it)
Obviously Hermes don't have the best rep but I am now 1102 parcels in and I think 2 lost and 1 damaged. I don't think many get delivered in the nominal 2 day turnaround but most on 3 and almost all by 4.
Cheers all, Hermes for £5.70 signed for and insured to £50 looks like the winner
