I sold our 2nd Session frame, but when i looked into shipping costs for £1800 of insurance it's coming in at £80-95 to post it off, which i thought was absolutely bonkers personally. I was expecting maybe £30 and i'd split that with the buyer 50-50, but £95 !

I think Paisley can do it for about £75 which is slightly better... but still pretty hefty...

Any other thoughts i may have missed

Last time I posted something decent frame wise it was years ago and cost about £50 with parcel force. So yeah, with everything else costing a fortune that sounds about right unfortunately

That's my go-to for frames/bikes etc. Always insured to cover the full value - yeah, it ain't cheap but Paisley Freight's usually the cheapest of the lot at that sort of value.

You could look at insuring it separately

Fedex was reasonable when I posted a bike I sold for £1000. It cost about £30-40 fully insured. Their online booking process is confusing though.

Just did a quote through my Fedex account. Took a guess on the dimensions, £1800 insurance, 10KG, 120x80x40cm. Came out at £44 for their two day delivery service.

My boxed bike was 3cm.over length with Paisley Freight and they refused to take it so be aware of sticking absolutely within their requirements
