Have heard some horror stories in the past about Royal Mail when sending dropper seat posts, have they changed their policy or is there a courier which will deliver dropper posts?

I've sold 5 droppers in the last month.
All were posted with Royal Mail.
No problems with any of them.

Use Hermes or Collect Plus if you're really worried.

If insuring for any amount of money, Collect Plus can work out cheaper.

Also sold quite a few with various couriers and never had an issue.

If your policy issue is one of sealed pressure vessels then I REALLY do not recommend Hermes or any other courier. Whilst none will accept them from Joe public Royal Mail tend not to destroy them immediately.

Do not send via Air (quick services) and you are probably fine, most people who sneak pre-charge air rifles into the system do so via PF48 and tend to get away with it.

My advice would be to ensure any air has been discharged before sending so they have no excuse whatsoever. Or speak to a friendly bike shop with the appropriate courier contract.
