I'd like to post a bike to my brother in Sweden. Its looks like posting would be £130 using sendabike. However, what would the import duty be?. 10% of the bike value or is it a fixed amount. Its a 26"cotic bfe, so how is the value determined? - UK or Swedish value?

No chance of popping over to see him, and taking the bike in a bag? Cross border large parcel stuff is currently a pain in the ****.

No idea what the Swedish duty system is like but I'd be filling in the forms as it was your brother's already and he was just shipping it back to himself..... Used goods etc.

See problems here:

Now that's for stuff where folk including me are not expecting duties, but it seems it can go wrong anyway when you think you are doing it right.

^ Yeah, go for a holiday there and take it.
