Had a great day out yesterday riding the Classic Edale Hayfield, Jacobs Ladder route despite the resurfacing on Oaken Clough to Edale Cross ( even my mate on his fat bike with 40t extender couldn't keep rolling through it, damn stuff just kept giving way, if you've ridden it you'll understand). Didn't even get too frustrated bu the huge number of ramblers who decided as I was holding the gate open for my mate that they would all descend Jacobs Ladder down the bridleway over the footpath 😆
The upside was that they all were mighty impressed with our descending and track stand skills and we all co existed in harmony......but I chuckled most when the two scottish guys asked why we didn't turn left before the gate down the footpath......I had to explain to them the restrictions in good old England and Wales and he couldn't get his hat off over such a ridiculous rule.......
Any how, today I am very deflated, bored but needing to show a family prescience whilst effectively not doing anything productive or of purpose and now the granddaughters and daughters have gone am bored to death......and to cap it off the wife's tired so gone for a kip but can't go for a ride as I'm supposed to wake her up in an hour 🙄
Cheer me up with some of your weekends riding pics or videos......or P taking responses please....

Quick Edale / Ladybower loop for us too on sat:

Surprisingly dry considering the rather damp lead up to sat morning (pretty much continuous rain through Firday eve and night) but it did make what i think is the rather cheeky "Narnia" trail quite amusing to ride 😉
