You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
As I'm previously mentioned, I have a mint condition Orange Patriot from 2001. I'd like to keep it as a mess around bike, and so apart from trying to find some fat knacker springs (done for the rear shock, harder for the Marzocchi Z1 MCR 2001 fork... if anyone has please let me know...)
I'd like to change the brakes. The C2 Hopes that it has on are leaking which makes me suspect all sorts of seals/dis have gone, and I've never really likes the closed brakes. I thought I'd get some Zees - but I really don't know what adapters/disc size I'd need. I's currently on IS brakes and I guess 160mm rotors front and back. Anyone know what I'd need to convert it to something more modern?
IS forks? You just need an IS to PM adapter of the right size. Most brakes these days seem to come with +20mm PM to PM adapters (180mm disc) and 160mm IS to PM rear.
Easy enough to change though and plenty of people probably have them lying around as most new forks are PM these days.
Yeah - IS forks - will have a look at what's available at the usual suspect websites.
