I was in the Halfords in Huddersfield once (as a customer) and a bloke wheels his bike in - he needed some cables so had just ridden to the store. The bike he was pushing was a Brooklyn Machine Works (BMW) MiniLink full bike. To say I was gob smacked was an understatement. Had a quick chat with him while I fawned over his bike. Spectacularly rare and to see one where I did just seemed so bizarre!

I have coveted one of these since the mid 80's

[img] [/img]

If I can't get one of those then I'd settle for this

[img] [/img]

As long as it's got a pair of bear traps I'd be happy 8)

Saw this and thought it looked so good I bought a frame despite knowing nothing about them. Sadly the angles on the seat stays and brace aren't as pretty on a large. Still, rides well

it only exists in my head...
it's a matt black stealthy looking fixed gear drop bar road bike with no cables and an ultra-mean stance...
I'm sure one exists somewhere.

This thread reminds me that 'one man's treasure is another man's tat' and 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'!!

There can only be one option for me (although I'm generous enough to show y'all two versions). Pure bike sex.....

Fat Chance Yo Eddy in Aqua Fade:

Admittedly neither are perfect: I prefer the bottom one but it does need retro XTR in that gorgeous grey and a blue Ringle Zooka stem.

Beauty is clearly in the eye of the be(er)holder, as the above has shown!

Here are some that I find rather lovely, but am sure you will all think that they munt as much as a munting thing.

As the OP I can tell you that I am certainly not offended by any picture of a bike, they're all good to me, some in different ways, but good all the same 🙂

Jon Edwards has the best so far.
the fixed gear needs shallower rims though, and blacker cranks and the seatpost head/clamp spoils it.

^^^that Nicolai up there would look a million times better if the saddle angle was UCI compliant

Flasheart wins. Mostly cos the picture of the Ti Saracen is mine. (well, OK, WAS mine, I sold it just before Christmas... 😳 )

Sorry CFH.

Also, another vote for the frankly gorgeous English Cycles brand.

[img] [/img]

Needs a few component changes (mostly that fugly chainset and the white bar tape) but otherwise...spot on.

that Baum in Gulf colours is lovely.

20-odd years ago I fell for this, sadly couldnt afford it at the time, which is exactly what fuels the retro boom.

[img] [/img]

seeing one of these in the "flesh" in a bike shop in Compiegne prior to the start of paris-roubaix a few years ago, fired my enthusiam for owning a road bike - now own a Lapierre Xeliius but sadly not in those colours.

[img] [/img]

Always been a sucker for white bikes, which is why I'd like 2 of these frames, one to ride one to hang on a wall
