Hello

Just got some new Shimano sad XT pedals..... but i would like some more float, is it possible to modify them?

You can slacken the release tension on them but not the float really from memory.

Use cleats from a company with spd style pedals that contain more float.

Shimano cleats have 4 degrees of float, I think nukeproof and dmr cleats are 6 degrees instead, funn definitely are 6 degrees!

The multi release cleats are a bit more floaty but they also release more easily so you may not like that.

DMR cleats are 4 degrees on one sode but swap them and they are 8 degrees. I got mine with the V twins but sure upgrade must do spare sets

Just find some crank bros egg beater pedals from memory there about 15 deg of float or something like that.

yes, you return them and buy a pair of TIME ATAC pedals
