You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Couldn't see a thread so apologies if this has been posted already, but I just noticed YT is now offering frame only deals for the CF Jeffsy, Capra & Tues.
2.1k frame set from a direct sales company, not far off normal actual hands on dealers.
2199 Euro is a fair whack chaper than the Euro price of something like a Bronson which sells for £3000 sterling - that's 3400 euro.
Regardless, YT's value has always been the spec they offer - buyig frame only kind of removes that USP.
Ah I forgot its in Euros, I should actually look properly . Obviously it competes on price against a Santa Cruz that's at the upper end but a lot more companies are a fair bit more competitive than SC. Agree with your point on spec being the major draw.
Don’t look too bad, but as above (depending on what shock it comes with) it’s not going to make much financial sense (does going frame only ever?) when the build kits are so cheap?
It’s been a bit of an eye opener recently window shopping various specs of Bird - to change from an Lyrik fork to 36s for example is a huge leap in money considering on the face of it they’re about the same price in the shop.
Anyway, rambling again - if you’ve got the cash to hand and desperately need to custom spec or reuse your current stuff I’d reckon it would be cheaper to buy comeplely and sell off the bits.
That's interesting.
It comes witha fox dxp shock. Basicaly the top spec frame and shock. Also includes frame protection and headset.
When I bought my Jeffsy 2 years ago, all the frames on my shortlist were ≥ £2799 - they'll be over £3k now thanks to brexit. so €2100 sounds reasonable. But why miss out on YT's bargaintastic spec?
