Porus tyres and tyre inserts

I bought some new Michelin Wild Enduro tyres to put on for winter and am having more problems than normal getting them to stay up. the bath tub test reveals both front and rear tyres are leaking profusely through the side walls such that the tyres are almost flat after a couple of hours. Normally a single ride is enough to seal up stubborn tyres but not so in this case.
I have used these make of tyres for previously and have not had this issue with them. I got to wondering what has changed this time - have the tyres got thinner or is there a defect with this batch? One thing I have started doing is using Tannus Armour tyre inserts and I considered whether the insets are inhibiting the flow of stans to the tyre walls?

I had a go trying to fix the problem last night. Put more stans in the tyres and liberal shaking and moving in all directions etc. I also let the tyres go empty so I could move the tyre away from the insert to get try getting sealant to flow close to the tyre wall. After pumping up the bath tub test suggests improvement - a good deal fewer bubbles. However both wheels still nearly flat this morning.

Anyone else struggling with Wild Enduro tyres and/or tyre inserts?

One issue I had in the past was the mould release agent being left as a residue on the tyre and it stopping the sealant from working. It plagued Continental tyres for a long time. The solution with that was to scrub the inside of the tyre before installation, even cleaning it with IPA.
