Help!

I'm going riding with some real headbanging knuckle draggers next summer, and I fancy finding some of the xc downhill stuff, rather than see how any times I can randomly land on my head/leave a trail of blood all the way back to the Chalet.

Is there a font of knowledge, or is this the zone of YOU MUST PAY TO BE WISE

And we stayed here http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/p489137 if you do book don't do it on the same week as us because we are going back for sure 😉

If you do stay here or near here PM me cos we found a great bit of off piste singletrack from the top of the lift back to the door.

The pseudo OS map is good for all round navigation in the PdeS and there is lots of lift served singletrack alongside the DH runs. Not been to verbier but we are going next year with bikeverbier and it looks to be much more big mountain XC than storm trooper DH (nothing against storm trooping other than breaking my knee last time I rode like that....)

Personally found Verbier to be far more challenging than Morzine. Certainly rockier and way, way more technical. In fact, Morzine seemed pretty lame in comparison.

Depends what you are going for - having done both, I would do Verbier for a more big mountain holiday & the PDS for a DH fest.

Depending on the type of holiday of course but from a DH perspective, it's the polar opposite. Verbier isn't lame, by any means - but it is lacking the huge variety of tracks that Morzine has (if you know where to look).

Verbier is a small riding area than Portes du Soleil.
