My Specialized seat post can only be adjusted through the top? which means I can only use saddles with a slot.
I went to change it because it's come loose at two cross races, but I can't put another saddle on it other than the one I want to keep for cross.
Just how stupid is that.
So I've put a normal post in my cross bike, but none of my spare saddles will go on the Spesh....bin job?

I thought you could also normally adjust them from underneath with an 8mm or 10mm spanner?

yeah my gf's is the same. You can adjust the front bolt from between the top clamp and the post using a spanner.

Yep, you can get a short 4mm allen key in the front bolt, and do the rear one with a spanner IIRC.
