After an over-hairy descent in the woods I got these forks new for £25 delivered off fleabay - 1 1/8" threaded but I just clamped a threadless stem on, it's fine. BB7 disc and I'm sorted. Lifts the front a fair bit but it seems OK. Not too heavy either, forks about 1.5kg. I can't say how that descent is though, I'm still recovering from my Strathpuffer broken kneecap....

Cheers, al.

It's like that kid in Toy Story making all those bastardised toys.

Al - stand away from the medicine cabinet...!

silver rim on the front would sort it, although forks with those horrible rubber things on the stantions look terribly old fashioned old boy

I want to like it, I really do, but god it's awful. I hope you really enjoy riding it like that.

Aye well, what do you get for £25?

And BTW, the rubber things keep a load of crap out and should be on all suspension thingies. Exposing the seals to mud for fashion's sake is rubbish.

You're right though it looks Asda-price 😉
