Morning all, got a question about the above - do Pompinos and Kaffenbacks share the same frame geometry and sizing? I have a Kaffenback which is fantastic, and does what I need it to do, but I'e a hankering for a fixed/singlespeed and have seen a medium Pompino for sale.
What size tyres can the rear of a Pompino take? My Kaffenback is at the limit with 32s.
There were a few different versions.
Funny story about the early Pompinos and Kaffenbacks - they were actually the same geometry as the Superlight Team Alloy, but with a 30mm longer fork which kicked back all the angles a couple of degrees.
I was fairly appalled, but people liked it so we kept it until the V2 Kaff and Pompino.
Cheers @brant. My Kaffenback is the latest version, and the Pompino is this one...

The tyre clearance is less important than the sizing issue for me of course.

You can get 33.5's (Jack Browns) in a Kaff. tight on the back end but works.
With the Pompino, you can put the wheel further back in the dropouts, to give a little more tyre clearance. Though probably not much more than 32mm.
I had an alloy superlight. That was a great bike, had a real snap to the acceleration. Anyway, back to the OP.
Didn't fancy that 800 quid one???
I'm running 40mm, measure at 38mm in my Pompino shopping bike, with mudguards. Has to be set back though.
120mm rear

130mm rear with 40mm Marathon Racers, again 38mm measured (or was it 135mm, can't remember)
