Outrage - indignation!"

Why won't the police investigate when a cyclist gets hit?

Police said it could not be classed as a road traffic collision as it did not involve a motorised vehicle.

Ahh

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-21030466

Actually, the cyclist hit a pdestrian. And the police did investigate, eventually

This decision was reviewed and the incident is now being investigated as an offence of riding a cycle on a road, bridle way or footpath without due care and attention, contrary to Section 29 of the Road Traffic Act 1988

a more sensational view with more detail, here

Can't be botehred to read, but I'm going to comment enyway. obvs.

Was the walker wearing black, invisible to the cyclist, blinded and rendered immobile by the cyclist's strobing blindernator, while his/her small black dog with a black collar on a black lead (no bell) panicked and ran between the spokes of the bicycle, crapping into little plastic bags?

Not surprised it ended badly.

Going by the report on the MEN site, it seems more like a case of "Ride it like you stole it"...

Police said the suspect was already in prison for shoplifting but he will be interviewed on suspicion of careless cycling when he is freed.
