Anything lighter and more comfy than a 27.2 Thomson that won't break the bank, in a nice stealthy black?
Spesh S-Works carbon
I've just ordered a USE Duro. Seemed a good price for carbon and I wanted a 400mm one, though shorter ones are available.
Yeah, the Duro caught my eye. Not used that type of clamp before....that was my only doubt about it
My default drop bar seat post now is the fizik Cyrano R1.
Thomson's are pretty light and think you would be in a for a surprise if you think one seat post is comfier than another.
I have had a Use Duro and the camp held up even though I was always thinking it wouldn't.

I'm a convert, a cheap Brand-X carbon post made a noticeable difference on my Specialized Allez, allowed me to pump the tyres up a bit harder for a similar level of comfort.
That is, until the seatpost failed, think it was pretty soft even for carbon!
USE used to make the worst seatposts on the market, one look at the clamp on the Duro tells me things haven't changed.
Something secondhand in carbon fibre from ebay is likely your best bet. Or from China if you can be bothered to wait for the post.
Brand X carbon layback at CRC or Wiggle for £22, only 350mm length though.
To give my back a chance, I swapped from my layback Thomson to a Cane Creek Thudbuster ST. Considered several of the carbon/flexy options but figured to go the whole hog with 33mm of travel. Works for me.
Not light, obvs.
USE Duro arrived. Seems a nice bit of kit. Haven't found the clamp and more fiddly than the usual ones are. We'll see how it holds up in the long term...
