Anyone tried both? How do they compare size wise?

I've changed from 3" spesh to 3" schwalbe and think they are about the same( if anything schwalbe are smaller) so 2.8" should be a bit smaller.

I have a pair of Specialized 27.5 x 3.0 tyres I can sell you if you fancy trying them.

Brand new in box Purgatory and a used 3 rides ground control. Supposed to be £45 each but can do the pair for £45 posted

Thanks Rick, but consensus seems to be that they're bigger, and I don't want any less mud clearance in the Pikes.

From what I've read 2.8"NN's are not a true 2.8" tyre, although slightly larger than a Trailblazer 2.8.

The 3" NN's are supposedly a true 3" tyre.

HTH.

Odd

There are threads on MTBR moaning about them being undersized. One of the reasons why I went for a different tyre for my chubby project.

Perhaps they've changed the casing.
