Plastic flats (like the superstar/ nukeproof ones) they are super cheap and super light. What is the downside (weak and slippy possibly?) anyone got some?

I found the grip pretty good (its all in the pins anyway), just didn't get on with the shape so put in the spares box before I found out how long they last

Only problem I have found so far is they don't look as 'bling'!

I use bmx ones on my fixie. Highly recommended, though i strip them down and add grease (seems to be lacking in all i've come across).

They were plenty grippy enough, though feel a bit strange as the axle is more pronounced than the metal designs. I think the surface grips in addition to the pins so not slippy. They do use tiny sealed bearings in one end. These are not difficult to replace when worn.

I use Nukeproof Electrons. I am a big fan and them on both the HT and FS.

Some seem to love them, others find the axle to raised, as mentioned above.

I like them, never noticed the raised axle.

Lifespan's been fine on mine but I don't like the feel, the axle's raised so even with the pins fully extended they lack grip with some shoes. Not bad but I retired mine to my commuter and went back to metal nanos.

I've had my plackey Nukes on for about 18 months now, ridden in all weathers and under all conditions, including two Alpine holidays. So far, so good. Bearings are fine, a few of the pins are a bit bent/worn and the placky body is scuffed up round the corners, but i can't see any reason to change 'em yet! Well recommended by me 😉
