They were available to buy at ~£60 for a reason, a mate bought a set and in less than a year he's had numerous spokes snap and some cracks emerging from around the spoke nipple holes on the rim.
Hard to say exactly just from a video, doesn't look TOO bad to me, is it causing problems?
Definitely not caused by bent axle (TBH your suggesting this displays a lack of knowledge/experience, no offense).
Did you check them when new for play? The wobble would have been the same.
My son's had the same cassette wobble from new and it didn't cause any issues. As said above just cheap wheels really. He had numerous broken spokes in the first couple of months so we replaced them pretty sharpish.
That's perfectly normal on cheap wheels
Thanks All. @cynical-al - none taken - I posted as I've only experienced this before on wheels where the bearings are shot and I've had to replace them. Never on nearly new wheels. But as pointed out - they were super cheap!
I posted about these wheels around a month ago.
My bearings on both wheels were shot after 9 CX races. I hadnt jet washed it etc.
They are just really cheap bearings as new.It doesnt cost a lot to put good quality well sealed bearing in to them, so why the factory didnt is beyond me.
I bought new bearings for around £15 delivered.
Put them in, and the rear still isnt smooth. It turns out the axle isnt concentric on one side.
They are rubbish wheels.
Bearing boys for the bearings, 6002 2rs and 6000 2rs are the codes afaik, though take yours out to check first.
Yes, dead easy, undo and take off the nuts on one side of the axle. get a mallet, then knock the axle through the other side, take the bearing off the axle, and do the other side.
Make a note of what order things come off, on the rear there is a tiny spacer, and a rubbish dust seal, and, the axle is longer on one side for the rear.
Thanks.
Forgot to say, it is 3 of the 6002, and one of the 6000. But please check those numbers, I think they are right though.
Life is too short for shit wheels.
