Just popped into the Planet X website to look for cheap helmets. By God have they let Ling lose on it? You need to check the website for the full animated gif explosion.

Jeezus... It ain't pretty.. What's wrong with sensible categories and menus so you can easily find what you want?

Looks like some one threw a bucket of Gifs at the page. I'll be back once the epilepsy dies down!

Thanks for feedback.

I've made a more obvious helmet link now.

Cheers

Half the promo links are hitting 404 errors.

Any chance of getting a grown up to look at this?

Brant while your here what's the difference between the full Monty sl and London road sl, there Is no reach stack for the LR sl oh and it just says bigger tyre clearances ?, and I'm sure you said somewhere the sl versions were being discontinued are the normal versions a better bet . I'm just looking for a new budget frameset to build up for roads and the occasional bridleway thanks

I am always here. But...

I think geometry is pretty much identical. I didn't do those.
The SL's are great - but it's about condensing the range for us.

London Road and SL both £199.99 with fork here - https://www.planetx.co.uk/c/q/frames?sort=price-asc

Oh - and it's entirely possible when you buy a frame, it'll immediately email to say it's out of stock. Because the website is stupid and doesn't know about the bonded warehouse.

Oh and Brant, are those wheels any good on the full monty sl? Seem a little heavy but really tempted by the rest of the bike for £999. Wanted tubeless really but don't see an option to upgrade.

The Roccais's are a basic wheel. Nothing setting the world alight but do the job.

The code EB at the beginning of the bike means that's been batch built to a spec and is ready to ship right away.

Bikes with CB at the beginning are custom bikes.

I would go for this model, with the Fulcrum upgrade.

The mobile sites fuked unless your in the market for buying a goat on LSD or a fat guy.

I can't even be bothered to try and see what products they are offering. Maybe they are just relying on ad hit revenue by having a really bad website.

Classic Mobile "Burger" menu isn't perfect but seems to be working. Lots of site improvement needed tho.

I actually like the mad front page. Better than the normal boring one you see day to day. At least it gets a smile

You weren't wrong. Just ordered a Full Monty SL frame and got the bad news straight away!

What colour did you go for Richard I like the red but tempted by the pink , I wish they had the xla sl colour schemes I was hoping they were the same as the full Monty as they looked similar in the pics but they aren't unfortunately

Yeah went for red (XL) Think pink is out of stock, I'll take black if they've got it, I've responded to the email as requested.

Well they've a way to go to match the utter bonkersness of Ling's site, but there's definitely some "creative inspiration" going on there.

Though come to think of it, has anyone ever seen Brant and Ling in the same place?

It might say it's available, didn't mean it is! There's supposed to be 5 of the red ones in stock. Not had a response from them yet 🤔

One thing that's always puzzled me - on Planet-X and On-One sites, why are the pop-up images always way smaller than the image on the webpage?

I've clicked for a pop-up because I want in biggerer! 🙂

The website is very old. I think this issue happens with retina/hi res optimised displays or something. I get it too. Yup. It’s a bit bobbins.
