So seeing that Planet X have a sale on and the Pro Carbon EVO Disc with Force 22 is now available for £1799 - only £800 more than I paid for my identical bike but with Rival 22 I thought I'd give a quick update on the bike after 7months.
Frankly for just under £900 it has been brilliant. I swapped out the heavy seatpost for a light one I had laying about and swapped the wheels for a set of Fulcrum Racing 4s that where on eBay at a bargain and the weight dropped to just over 8Kg.
The only complaint I can make about it is the three little hex head countersunk bolts that hold the guides for the internal cabling have rusted but apart from that I can't fault it.
I'm not a road rider usually but with my MTBs down in Weymouth I have been on this a lot averaging over 150 miles a week.
So just to counterbalance the usual digs at Planet X, it arrived on time, at a phenomenal price and has been epic.
I can't get much more than a 25c in my frame but the new ones do seem to have clearance for 30mm.
Buy one now, or wait until they have a proper sale...

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I kind of wish I had bought the frameset for sub £300 before the pandemic started.

I've just been out in the Pyrenees with with mine. Did a few nice rides out there, not massive but some good hills. It was really nice to ride out there, and I was quicker up hills than previously. Although I've only ever taken my London Road out there before.

The new one look lovely, especially the red one. Extra tyre clearance is good as well, but not the end of the world. I can manage a 28 in the front but only 25 at the back.

1200 quid for the force 22 version was a bargain IMO!

Only the small frame left, but that has 384mm reach and 527mm stack, with a 500mm seat tube that would suit my stubby legs for someone 178cm tall. Bit aggressive with that low front end, but a 120mm+ stem could make that work, not bad for £1260 for the Force version.

Certainly not bad.
Edit: Where are you seeing that price?

Ah. I thought the headline prices included the discount. Brilliant.

Had mine since January and can’t fault it. Have upgraded the heavy standard wheels to Hunt and that has made it even better. Only criticism would be the bolt-through axles seem to be made of cheese. Have to be really careful to push the Allen key all the way in. I guess it’s to save weight but they always feel like they are going to round off (have bought a spare just in case)
