Three of us are having a little reunion, and seeing as the last time any of us were on bikes in the Dales it was dark, and we were behind schedule on the C2C, we didn't get much chance to look around! I know the area reasonably well from a walking perspective, but have never stayed in the Dales themselves. We're only after B&B, not guiding, and are happy leaving bikes in cars, so doesn't have to be that MTB friendly. Basically we would like somewhere either in a pub, or within easy crawling distance of several good ones! Requirements are a good breakfast, and either one room between the three of us, or two twins. We don't want to share with strangers a'la YHA. Does anyone have any good suggestions? Looking at the north Dales btw - Swaledale and Wensleydale...

Cheers!

highly recommend Dales bike centre just outside Reeth. everything in one-place - bunk house, great cafe, small bike shop etc and with easy access to each side of valley. Good pubs in Reeth too, which is a short walk. I've already re-booked!

I'd go with the Dales Bike Centre, really great pub at Grinton just a few minutes stagger away and loads of biking.

Hi All,

Been away for the weekend so only just remembered I'd posted this. Looks like I'll be giving the Dales Bike Centre a call then....

Thanks for the almost-unanimous advice!

Aye, we parked there on Saturday, had brekkie, rode, then came back for lunch and it was top notch. £21pppn incl brekkie too. Bargain.
