You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I'm going give this a whirl soon, it's a Pivot 5.7 Carbon FS bike and I must say it looks quite sweet. It's a DW Link design and this build has some impressive stuff attached to it too. A quick ride in the car-park and it felt very plush indeed so I can't wait try it on the muddy stuff. It's not as "in your face" as some of the latest designs and the carbon frame looks really well made too. Lets see then.....
It will go a lot better with pedals IMHO. Very nice, add a dropper seat post Haven bar and 55mm stem, High Roller II up fron and 2.35 rear for some serious action. Lot of very good 5 - 6 inch trail bikes about.
Very nice. I look forward to hearing your opinion, you had a DW 5 spot previously didn't you?
I've still got my DW Link 5 Spot and I'm only trying this out - perks of the job that's all. It'll be good compare it to the 5 Spot though as they're both DW designs. I've tried the Ibis Mojo SL and prefer my 5 Spot any day.
2 x 10 setup looks nice. I have same on road bike and very impressed with useful gear range. My MTB could be in for a revamp soon 😉
Not sure if it wasn't a set-up problem but my first impression of the XTR mech with the clutch wasn't too good - very clunky in use and loud - so unlike XTR that I've used in the past. Much much prefer my X0 stuff which seems a lot lot quicker too.
Not a fan of the graphics on Picot bikes.. the red highlights and blue anodising is a bit over the top for me. One colour too many. (Mind you. I'd say the same about my own bike - seriously considering wasting £55 to get a black collar for my KS Post from superstar)
Really like the look of the carbon Pivot - Hadge, any thoughts on how it rode would be much appreciated!
