was planning to be riding there tonight, but Pirbright's ablaze. Anyone nearby able to give any info where might still be open? Was aiming for Tunnel Hill and maybe Porridgepot, fire seems to be on Ash but reports say that surrounding roads are also closed.

The downside to all the good weather, was getting pretty dry up there.

Of course, if we are all banned from the area then that'll be another early warning system disabled. It'll start behind the fences and be well under way by the time the FB can get there...... 🙁

Based on that update page, sounds like the traffic is going to be screwed tonight around there. Heathland fires have been known to jump the road a few times from Ash to Tunnel hill as well. Probably best to avoid the whole area.

I'd imagine Caesar's Camp will still be ok to ride tonight. Although watch out for all the random new fences that have appeared recently.

Will be driving home along the hogs back shortly, should be able to see if it's still ablaze at least.

Worst comes to the worst we'll head into swinley - meeting mates who are driving to get to pirbright area so don't want to send them all the way to CC.

Looks like it's ablaze again. Big smoke clouds and a brisk wind.

Tunnel and Porridgepot are still fine to ride.

Was over on Porridgepot an hour or so ago and didn't even know it had caught light again.

spotted smoke coming from that direction an hour ago, though it could be ash ranges?

It's Stoney Castle on Ash Ranges, the same location which was on fire on Wednesday.

^^^ what they said. Was over Porridgepot on Thursday and no worries there. Only worry is if it crosses the road to TH but unlikely unless it gets really big.
