Bro-in-Law has just pinged me a message. Apparently the Pike on his Pitch have suddenly started mis-behaving. Not going through full travel and feeling "rigid".

Anyone aware of any know problems? He's doing the Gear Jammer tomorrow so could do to get them sorted.

Cheers.

Sounds like the classic oil leaking from uppers to lowers on the damper side (right leg)...try a search as there are plenty of threads concerning this (Started one myself...here)

if he needs a quick fix (sort of), just undo the bottom bolt on the damper side (right, as you sit on the bike) and empty the oil out. You may need to wiggle the damper rod (what the bolt tightens into) so that the oil can get past it. You'll have little or no rebound but the travel will be back. I had to do this in the Alps recently, and it rides quite well without any rebound, surprisingly. Bouncy but fun....
