Both 35mm stanchions can’t see why this wouldn’t work. Wrote off my lower legs on my Pikes but the CSU is in great condition and I have a fancy avalanche damper.
So looking on eBay for a cheap pair of 29er boost forks with knackered stanchions or a creaky crown that I can nab the lowers and plug in my CSU and damper.
Seem to be more yaris than pike/revelations. So any reason why it wouldn’t work? Lyriks/Yaris are just a slightly heavier leg
I don't know the answer, but I reckon the logic is sound.
Consider the parts where Pike touches Lyrik. Stanchion outer diameter, seals and bushes certainly seem common. Then the rods and bolts at the bottom of the leg certainly seem common enough.
The only question is about length. But as your travel will be Pike rather than Lyrik I think you'll be okay.
Which Avalanche damper do you have and how is it in the Pike? Used to have one in the original 36 and loved it.
Both 35mm external but the wall thickness is different IIRC. Thicker on the lyrik/yari so a smaller ID. That would mean the main air seal parts are different, don’t know if the damper is the same.
@swanny853 that wouldn't be an issue as the OP is on about using their CSU containing all those bits.

If the stanchions are knackered the bushings could be as well.
Onza - open bath speed sensitive cartridge. No faults really, adjustable and supportive. Not tried RC2 but leagues better than stock setup - feels a lot like my old Marz 44Ti RC3 which is praise itself
I know the CSU leg diameter is different as Is the thread for the damper. But that’s all in the CSU. So leg diameter is the same, I’d be running 140mm travel so length is fine. The only thing might upset it is the little indent on the CSU to equalise the legs mights be different position between models??? Unknown
Bushings are £30 to swap out so not to bad
Are the CSU definitely the same widths? As in - are Lyrik and Pike stanchions equally spaced apart?
Are the stanchions the same length? You still need your 140mm travel to bottom out around the level of the seals (and obviously not a millimetre more).
Just get some Pike lowers surely?
Might need a different air shaft for the same travel.
Aye, fair point @nixie, just working out what goes with what.
It’s probably covered under air shaft lengths but the lower, stanchion and air shaft lengths are all going to have to line up to get the transfer port in the right place? I imagine there’s a bit leeway on that but it might give some off effects?

I've not had to replace any bushings for over a decade, but I thought the new Rockshox couldn't be replaced and it was time for new lowers if you needed new bushings. It's also why all the Rockshox lowers these days come with tight bushings.
But I could be wrong, I've had no reason to try.
Pike stanchions are about an inch shorter, it won't work as the crown would bottom out before the stanchion meets the bottom out bumpers in the lower legs.
Good to know thanks

What/where are you getting 35mm fork bushings?
