About to press go on the Smashpot coil conversion for my Pikes - it is worth getting a service with fresh seals fitted at the same time or are seals basically redundant once a coil is fitted? The current seals are 18 months (~60 rides) old, have been lubed every ride, and not showing any telltale signs of being knackered (vertical mud streaks etc).
The seals help prevent crap entering the lowers so why not, it’s going to extend the life of your damper and coil kit so well worth the little outlay and effort to change.
As above, the job of the seals doesn’t change because you’ve changed the type of spring you’re using
