Hi folks my pikes seem to have developed a leak,on the top right ,seems to be coming out by the compression /suspension on/off lever,have the seals gone,are pike forks easy to take apart yourself.
I,m pretty good at taking bike apart/fixing things my self but forks have always been a bit of a no no ,dont know if i want to try to take them apart and then not know how to put them back together again!!.
Are there any websites that would guide me through this and where would i buy new seals from?where do people send thier forks for fixing and how long is the wait for them to come back?sorry for all the questions cheers

IIRC you can get a rebuild kit for about £40 which includes all the seals.

As long as you have some mechanical sympathy (lots of plastic, magnesium and soft aluminium threads to strip inside forks) then getting them appart is fairly painless usualy. Just make sure you apply common sense.

Youl'll also need;
5wt suspension oil for the damper
15wt suspension oil for the lowers
suspension grease (no moly/lithium wont do)

If your buying all that it might be cheeper to get TFtuned to do them for you.

It's just an o-ring at the top of the motion control, it isn't serious and won't effect performance 'til you've lost a fair bit of oil. Easy fix at home if you can find the right size o-ring - have a look on the sram site.

I had exactly the same. Try this:

It worked for me.
