Full winter clothing today with snow on the Ochils. We decided to have a little Tour de Clackmannanshire on loads of the cycle routes we had not yet explored.
Yesterdays ride, exploring Delamere….getting lost and going round in circles is probably a more appropriate description….(please ignore saddle position!!)
Please keep these coming - currently sitting in the house after an eye operation so it'll be a while before I get out again, this is as close as I will be to a bike ride in a while

Didn't ride Friday night as usual as felt a bit muzzy headed. Tested the waters last night and wished I hadn't. Have spent today sat on the sofa tired, sore throated and snotty.
Starting off slowly on my bike back to fitness. 12 mile round trip to a weatherspoons for their free refill coffee/hot chocolate. The mocha was clearly the best.
Eldest who is 18 in 17 days still can't stop making faces for pictures
Two hours of hack and bodge to fit mudguards to the Digger then a quick Walshaw/Gorple/Blackshaw Head circuit to make sure nothing was rattling or rubbing. A bit driech! Nicer day yesterday, longer ride round the lanes from Sowerby to Warley, Wainstalls Luddenden and Hardcastle Crags. No pics though. Enjoying this drop bar bike thing, its nice to go further and faster on lanes, complements the mountain bike on alternate rides.

Have to find the actual trails made worse (better?) by the fact the Forest seemed to have dried up, leaving only the odd squelchy puddle.
I found a 3ft drop off - root on the top straight down into a dip = and with caution practised my new FOD coached technique to get down it safely. It led into a DH section with some pops and berms so I delighted in seasoning that a few times the coming back up for a full run at speed in the leaves. Good times, despite of flu remaining - cold induced - coughing.

A couple of hours out round the local trails on Saturday afternoon with the eldest nugget after his football match (incidentally they won 8-0 and he scored 1 and assisted 3)
Bit of coordination going on with the gloves and the frame / fork colors, hideous clash with his jacket thought 😀

I wish I had stopped for a few photos, went out for an exploratory road spin around Forgandenny/Bridge of Earn, also testing out some new tubeless Pirelli tyres on the winter roadie. Lovely twisty roads and some nice new tar in places.
However somehow ended up on a prolonged section of very muddy gravel which became extra slippy and muddy singletrack. Definitely hit the rim a couple of times on the front wheel, courtesy of slightly ambitiously low tyre pressure in a 25mm tyre.
Actually a very fun challenge keeping it clipped in and moving forward on a road bike in the mud 😎 Merited more photos

Out the door at lunchtime for a couple of hours, trying to flush out the Jet-Lag after a week in Florida with an overnight flight home Saturday into Sunday.
