I've been commuting about 11 - 12 miles a day (round trip total) for a few months now and whilst my fitness has benefited I've now got various issues in my left leg.
I've been treating each journey as a hard training ride, pushing myself fairly hard.
I'm clipped in, but have used a cleat alignment tool to try to get everything lined up and the tension is set v low so there's some float.
Before last week my left leg always needed a bit more gentle stretching and would ache a little, but now I've a bit of pain in the muscle that's to the inside of my thigh, down towards my knee. When I straighten my leg, I can feel some discomfort. A gentle ride in today felt fine when cycling and hasn't made anything worse.
So, I'm wondering if a cycling specific physio that can watch my motion on the bike might be a good place to start. And / or a cycling savvy physio?
Can anyone recommend anything / anyone in London?

Unfortunately not in London, but i would highly recommend PedalPrecision at the velodrome in Manchester.
He spotted my left hip rolling over before I'd even got on the bike to check position, as his back ground is sports injury. Gave me some exercises to improve this. Better than some no doubt experienced ex-roadie who knows what a position should look like but isn't necessarily qualified in physiology.
Quite reasonable too, just over £100 for a two hour session including bike fit, cleat position etc. So even if you added in a return train ticket from London, I reckon it's still good value compared to some prices I've seen quoted...
Why not just go to a physio and get the injury sorted?
The cleat alignment is secondary.
I've always just moved cleats around a bit until it feels comfy. If it doesn't feel comfy then its wrong...
@mtbtomo - thanks for the recommendation - both generic (a specialist is probably worth seeking out) and the specific, although I'll try to find a London based one before travelling
@funkydunc - My experience with Physios so far (lots of time paid via previous jobs, some NHS experience) is that having some specialist insight can help treat the root cause rather than the symptoms displayed at the time.
Stupid question maybe, but you haven't just over done it (you mention pushing it on every journey) and pulled a muscle?
My joints and muscles hurt after training and often the days after as well, so there's some rest and recovery in there so that aches don't become pulls or enflamed tendons etc
Cyclefit. Covent Garden they work with physios and all sorts. Experts at cleats and tracing issues. At the blingier boutique end of the spectrum.
@mtbtomo - I think I possibly have. My wife spotted that the area in question was swollen when compared to the other leg.
A pro-level IronMan friend has recommended Swift cycles for a bike fit (lots of her mates have used them and have been very pleased) and a bike aware physio.
A call into Swift has concluded that I need to see the physio first and then come to them in a few weeks or months time, so they are starting from a decent base position.
